I really didn't like "New Earth" much (the last act mostly) and the Werewolf episode didn't do much for me either. But I'm going to DEFEND Love & Monsters.... it wasn't the best episode but it's always gutsy to make your main characters barely have cameos and just try something different. I also think having a 'light' episode after the superb but dark Impossible Planet/Satan Pit is a nice break (espeically considering what's yet to come). So my defense is... it was light & different. I'm not really sure how well the story WORKED but I really hand it to him for just trying it.
I snored almost all the way through it. Boooorrrrring. :(
There was about five minutes I liked. Jackie showing what it's like to be left behind, and the way she told Elton that she'd always defend Rose and she'd never betray either of them. She's come a long way, has Jackie, and so has the Doctor: so lovely to see her willing to protect him, too.

Otherwise... what a waste of an episode.
