Or, In which E updates to say that there's nothing much to talk about.
Nevertheless, a few highlights:
A few of my students told me Monday night that they think I am, like, the best teacher EVAR (!!!1!!1). One even said that they love me (no, I'm serious, she actually used the word "love"). One said specifically that they want to stay with me, meaning they want to keep taking my class in particular. MY CLASS. While that student told me verbally, a couple did it in writing. Aside from pretty much making me cry, the written ones represent portfolio material that you can't even pay for.
My principal is my pal. (*ducks flying objects*) She and my boss are doing all this cool mentoring stuff, giving me advice, not bagging on me when I commit the odd minor goofup, just, you know, making me feel supported. I'm gonna feel sad if they don't have a position for me come spring, because I really like working for them. *crosses fingers* But I have to spend even more time on class planning now. *dies*
I'm running out of time slots where I can fit new students. And my Indian student came back from India and wants to pick up his lessons again. So that's seven active students now.
I got to explain "peeps" and "XOXO" in class Monday. Woo hoo!
OH GOD COME EASTER IF I HAVE THESE STUDENTS I'M TOTALLY BUYING MARSHMALLOW PEEPS AND SAYING "And these... represent the other popular-cuture-based meaning for the word."
ROCK.
Um. Sorry. You can all come out now. So yeah. The End. For today, anyway.
... okay, maybe I have a few things to talk about. ;)
