I'm in spectacles hell.

We found different frames and got the lenses cut down. I picked them up today and got everything adjusted. Yay, everyone's happy.
Well, I'd been wearing my old specs and sunglasses in the intervening time because I don't like switching between prescriptions. So until today, I hadn't had a chance to wear the new specs for more than a few minutes. Come to find out that the temples (the bits that go behind the ears) are adjusted too short. There is now a dent across the bridge of my nose, there are sore spots on the backs of my ears, and I have a headache.
ARG.
Back to the optician. I hope we can make this work. Dammit, it shouldn't be this hard!
p.s. Contact lenses: no.
