I've vaguely known for a while about the accumulation of mercury in various types of fish. But apparently it's worse than I thought. Scary.

So I guess it's time to ask the sushi chef at our favorite Japanese restaurant in town exactly what kind of mackerel they serve.

*blink* well, thank you! i'm not sure why i rock because the fish are loaded with mercury, but hell! i'll take a compliment anytime. ;)

and no, i don't have AIM. i used to use ICQ, but that sort of trailed off after i had to quit working. wassup?

yep, RSI forced me out of copy editing, a career i really liked. feh. but now i'm teaching, which i have discovered that i also really like. and i'll probably be doing a portfolio career now (working at different but complementary jobs: teaching, tutoring, editing, maybe some research services).

pfft. very funny, mister. i'll have you know that OUR sushi chef speaks GREAT english. um, mostly. when you can get him to talk.

(he's super shy, so it's good that the restaurant has a closed kitchen and no sushi bar. ;) )
