In grad school I did my master's project on Now is a Moveable Feast, a book-length poem by the Irish poet Anne Le Marquand Hartigan. Afterward I contacted the Arts Council and arranged for them to forward a copy of my project to her.

She sent me e-mail. She liked my work.

Just today I received another letter from her:

You might be interested that Cate Barron, at Women's Studies, UCD, has just completed her doctorate on my writing and painting. She has given a copy to me and I see she refers to your work on Now is a Moveable Feast, in her thesis.

I've never really considered myself a scholar. I guess I'm going to have to change my opinion. Wow.
