Hm, one benefit of having the city decide to hold trick-or-treat yesterday (what can I say, I live in the buckle of the Bible Belt and "you can't have a pagan ritual" *snort* "on church day!") is that if I want to I can do a real Pagan ritual without being constantly interrupted by trick-or-treaters.
Mind you, I missed the trick-or-treaters last night due to stupid work, but that's another matter entirely.
