Yay lovely Christmas. I was worried that my grandfather would annoy my husband, but it worked out so nicely. It's the first time they've spent any time together at all since Hardi and I got married. Grandpa brought a couple of photo albums and ran us through the extended family, which is considerable. Grandpa has five siblings. Two of them had eight kids each, one had five kids, and Grandpa and one other sib had two each. That's 25 kids total, 23 of whom are my first cousins. Damn I have a lot of cousins. I'm terrified at the prospect of meeting one of my cousins and her family: she has seven boys. Count 'em. Seven. They're all redheads, too. Run screaming.

But enough about my family. Dinner was lovely (damn my brother can cook), Mom and Dad gave me a beautiful cranberry-colored cardigan and I got some other nice loot and it was low-key and happy and yay! Tomorrow we brave the ravening hordes and go pick up Hardi's medicine. Whyyyy does the Longs have to be in a mall?

Ah, but perhaps they are some other branch of the Weasley clan? The possibilities are not to be discounted so readily... I must go tell my shipping friends that their dreams may well come true.
