So. Busy.

Though at least on Sunday we stole the time (which we probably should have spent on housework, except H had a headache and probably couldn't have done much housework anyway) to see Prisoner of Azkaban. Wow. Amazing job they did. Much, much better than 1 and 2. Beautiful setting for Hogwarts. The Leaky Cauldron was wonderful. The entire movie looked much more real, as if they'd just gone out and followed Harry around while he did whatever it was he did. The first two films looked more... styrofoam. I also loved it that they gave the kids more of a chance to just be kids, like the scene with the animal-voice candies (the name of which escapes me). You know, just kidlike messing around.

In other news... I have not been spending enough time on class prep. This realization prompted abject terror on Friday evening. Class starts exactly one week from today. Much planning occurred today. Well, planning anyway. At least now I have a week-by-week outline of what I'm going to cover, with room for student input.

My back feels like crap, and I already did a bunch of yoga today.

Mrrmph. Our new downstairs neighbors have weird-ass schedules or something. To wit: One night last week someone down there was cooking something involving onions and garlic... at 12:30 or 1 in the morning. Naturally the smell drifted into the bedroom and woke up my stomach. And last night, when I got woken up by something and then couldn't get back to sleep because my lower back hurt, I got up to use the bathroom and realized that someone was taking a shower. That damn exhaust fan engine is loud, and you can't turn it off and still have the lights on. It was 2:30 a.m.

I hope they're quiet tonight, or I might have to go down and KILL THE*ahem* I mean, complain. Except how can you complain about someone just living his (or her) life? Blarg. I fucking hate apartment living.

*looks at datebook* Oh bloody hell... Today was busy, and tomorrow is worse.

Someone shoot me now.

No one shoots the source of my Elizabethness...

*tiredly wanders into Elizabeth's journal, reads* Hmmm...

I kinda like apartment living. At least in this building. I've gotten used to how it loud the pipes are in the winter and such. It's gonna suck getting used to a whole new set of annoying circumstances. If you need someone *ahem* taken care of, let me know. Plane tickets to SF are cheap (thank you, JetBlue) and Emma and I both have a penchant for wielding sharp objects.

Next semester, I think we are going to pool our money and but you on JetBlue. Yes. I can see it now. Kevin and Emma picking you up at JFK and joking the whole way back to Princeton. w00t. Emma and I must call together the council.

*curls up to sleep in Elizabeth's journal*

Oh sharp objects are so necessary...

Okay, now I HATE apartment living. There are people drilling holes into the side of my fucking apartment! Do you know how loud this is?

I sleep during the day.
