So we'll survive. With lots of gritted teeth. There's no point in being bitter. At least this way Kerry doesn't inherit W's mess. W and his cronies will have to clean it up themselves... or not. And we can hope that in the meantime the progressive movement sorts itself out. There are certainly enough pissed-off people to work on it.

Don't know what I'll do. Teach my students and write letters, I guess.

That's about all that can be done until/unless he steps far enough out of line that he can't cover it over or excuse it to his loyal sheeple. Of course, if he does... *evil grin* I can't think of a President in US history who more deserved all the crap that would come with an impeachment.

He'd have to commit a murder in front of 20 jillion witnesses to get impeached. Which is to say, he's not going to get impeached, probably ever. The House of Reps has to vote for impeachment. The House of Reps is Repulican controlled. This is why Clinton got impeached over Monicagate and the Shrub is going to get off scot free.

Never underestimate the power of a sufficiently pissed-off populace. If their own butts are on the line, I suspect that Congress will turn on him quicker than a mongoose hungry for snake. We just have to get the populace sufficiently pissed-off - which means not giving up on showing people just what a sanctimonious, hypocritical slimeball they just re-elected.
