got cancelled this year. Well, sort of. Santa made sure I caught my husband's cold and came down with it on Christmas Eve. Is this better or worse than coal in my stocking? So we didn't get to go see my parents in the morning, or his dad and stepmom in the afternoon. Instead, I slept, and when I wasn't sleeping, I was watching him play World of Warcraft. It's a great spectator sport, actually. He has one character that's "my" character, and I nudge him to play it when I'm around.

The only really bad part? Now I have no voice. I'm coughing occasionally and I'm tired, but that's about it. But for anyone who knows me, you know "no voice" is not a state that goes well with E.

If I were a kid, I'd be crushed about this. But really, it's not a big deal. I make sure to celebrate being with my family and friends every chance I get. I don't need the calendar to tell me to do that. I guess I do miss the little family rituals... but only a little. Life goes on.

Sucks to be sick on Christmas, doesn't it? Oh, well, at least it's not something like my family's situation where we only really see each other once or twice a year (we're all over the country).

Glad you're not too bummed out about it, though. Hope you're better soon!
