My case settled on Monday. I didn't even have to appear. My lawyer dealt with it.
I haven't yet seen the terms, though he knew what I was willing to accept and I have no doubt he got what I wanted, or something in the neighborhood. The documents should show up today or tomorrow, and once I sign them and return them, it's done.
Finally.
You know what the date on my claim is? 10/1/1999. 1999. Sometimes I thought it would never be over.
But now it is.
I just hope this post doesn't jinx it. Knock on wood. I can be so superstitious.
