eBay update (a bit late)
Jul. 6th, 2003 10:48 pmIn fairness to the eBay customer I was venting about, I should note that it's all worked out. I sent her the link to my previous rant, and she wrote me e-mail, saying she was very impressed that I'd taken the time to consider how she was feeling. She said I'd reduced her frustration level by 99.9 percent by just laying out my side of the events without totally bagging on her (my choice of words here). The transaction turned out okay: she got her CD, I got paid, everyone's happy. She even put me on her Recommended Sellers list and said nice things about me in her feedback. Ta da.
And the Moral of the Story is: Don't stop talking when things get hard, because honest, respectful communication, together with a sense of compassion, could probably fix a whole lot of the things that are wrong in this world.
