I got pictures of our dead squashed car. I knew when I saw it at the tow yard that it was really most sincerely dead, but now I get to share these images with you. All I can say is, that was obviously a major Pickup Truck of Car Crushing. +10.

We begin our tour at the front of the car. Here we see the bendyhood. And stuff.

Continue around, widdershins, to the left rear. Mmm, squishybootboot!

And finally... Structural elements! w00t!

Note the lack of bumper. We drove down to see friends yesterday while it was still light out. As we passed the accident site, I said, "Holy shit!" My poor husband was like, "What? What?" I said, "We just drove by our bumper!"

Yep.

*deep breath*
YAY, I'M NOT DEAD!

In other news, we bought a new car on Friday. It's pretty much the same model as our old one, only it's black and it's actually even nicer. Tip: shop for a new car in October. The new model year is out, and the old ones get rebates stuck on them. Yay, rebates. (...Heh. No, not the Old Ones. Tss.)

man, I am making no sense whatsoever tonight. argh. I guess you know why! ;)

yes, I meant the truck: shouldn't that driver be in jail, or at least in some sort of camp? how common is it in america anyway, that people get into accidents and take off/do not take responsibility for what's happened? in sweden, if you leave a crime scene like that, you get at least the double amount of jail time.

They put people in jail in Sweden? I thought they had special "reformiray" guns that made people sorry they even stole that cookie from the jar as a kid. How else would you explain the low crime rate? A progressive social-democratic government that educates and takes care of their citizens and gives them an actual say in the democratic process? Surely not! Oh, wait...

*solemnly dips head to mourn the loss of the little red car, then yelps?* Totalled! This means you can get a new Elizamobile! Snazziness!

Now, you should go after the person who hit you with a Swedish reformi-ray gun.

Yikes!

Wow, that's a hell of an accident. Glad you are ok. (Found you via [livejournal.com profile] milestogo13's page. Just so you know that I am not some random scary person. Well random. But not scary. Much.)
